2nd part of Comp App update

Apparent my final rendering is taking longer than expected. I gave it a maximum of 3 hours, but at 7 hours, its still 88% and running. Therefore, I shall only update the process I did.

Setting contour

Interior furniture check

Double checking

Adding grass to the contour

Adding water

Testing background render

Almost final outcome

The final render is on the way. It should be done around 5am later, hopefully. I did not update my blog earlier because I thought the rendering would be done quicker, I was wrong.

Computer Application Process

So yeah...so this is my first blog post on this new blog. It is about redesigning what I've done in my previous semester's final project into softcopy, well...3D modeling to be exact. Below here are scans of my semester 2's work.

This is a rendered sketch of the building I designed last semester.

After a long time, I've finally achieved the basic form of the building. This took me about 4 hours because there was plenty of errors on the floor plan I drew last time. Minor adjustments had been made in order to comply to the current model.

Testing of materials.

Somewhat successful on recreating the glass. I do like it.

Trying on different concrete material on the 1st structure of the building. Finally noticed the rough surface that I desired.

Creating the 3rd platform, consists mainly of timber. This took quite some time as the alignment and material was rather hard to achieve.

Creating the foundation for the 2nd platform. Didn't know how to do it, but managed to play around with extrude and bevel, allowing me to achieve the column shape.

Almost there....The glass material had been placed quite accurately. It may not be perfect but the shape, form and look somewhat seem similar to my design.

Checking the columns again...

The roof has been made. This was done using only the "Bevel" function in "Edit Poly". The result of the measurement may look abit off, well that is because I am still rather unfamiliar with how to work it.

That is all I have for now, the model is incomplete but I am currently still working on it. This is my first 3Ds Max Design work, so yeah...not to harsh on it.

The following photos are screencaptures of my work flow.

Playing with material.

The playing of the "Bevel tool" and materials on the roof.

Rendering to see the final outcome.

That is the end for the process. Thank you for viewing, live long and prosper!
